Welcome to the 2020-2021 Indoor track team, This information is for both BOYS and GIRLS
In light of our current situation, it is unclear what the season holds. We the track coaches are in the process of organizing team pre-season training sessions. We are waiting to hear the final word on the actual schedule but we are planning to hold session Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 till 5:00. (pre-season practices have begun, use links below to get on the team email list to receive directions)
In order to be able to participate in this session, you must first turn in your 2020-2021 VHSL physical and Concussion training to the Trainer. You may email the documents after making sure they are fully filled out and signed to the trainer directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. The trainer will place your name in the main eligibility list, please make sure you indicate that you are interested in the track team to be placed in the proper list. Hard copies are faster to process so contact the trainer to arrange drop-off. If you are going to email your forms please make sure you properly name your files. Example: LastName_Student ID #_Physical.
When the training sessions being coaches will check this list, if your name is not on it you will not practice and you will have to resolve any issues with the trainer. PLEASE make sure you have copies of your Physical and concussion training to expedite resubmission if need be.
An Emergency Care Card also needs to be turned in to the coach. I will be sending information on how to do this via the team's Email list, so make sure you use the links at the bottom of this page to enter your information. I will email you a "Track Team Google Class" join code. I have created an assignment in the track class for you to turn in your Electronic Emergency Care Card.
We are not sure what the competitive season will look like. Participating in the pre-season workouts will allow you to try out for the team later this year. I have been thinking about his since the COVID 19 pandemic started, I personally am worried about the athlete and coaches health and safety. For the first time ever, tryouts/time trials will be used to select the competitive team for this season.
I will have more information coming, in the meantime please use the links below to place your self in the team email list, I plan to start using this list with in the next two weeks to send out further information. If you plan to participate in pre-season workouts and Tryout /time trials for the team please make sure your email makes it on the list. Please make sure you use an email you check all the time. We are going to have to be very strict following guidelines so it is in everyone's best interest that you get your information about the team directly from me.
